NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
FOR MICHIGAN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDING FOR
DOWNTOWN FLOODPLAIN MITIGATION FEASIBILITY STUDY
Eaton Rapids, Michigan will conduct a public hearing on Monday, August 10, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. at Eaton Rapids City Hall, located at 200 S. Main St, Eaton Rapids, 48827, for the purpose of affording citizens an opportunity to examine and submit comments on the proposed application for a CDBG grant.
Eaton Rapids, Michigan proposes to use $123,500 in CDBG funds to complete a downtown floodplain mitigation feasibility study that meets the parameters of the CDBG-DR Resilience Planning activities, and will provide an area-wide benefit and benefit low/ moderate income persons in the community.
Further information, including a copy of Eaton Rapid’s community development plan and CDBG application, is available for review. To inspect the documents, please contact Robin Webb, City Clerk at rwebb@cityofeatonrapids.gov or review at Eaton Rapids City Hall, located at 200 S. Main St, Eaton Rapids, 48827. Comments may be submitted in writing through Thursday, August 6, 2026 or made in person at the public hearing.
Information regarding previous programs awarded by the State of Michigan using the Community Development Block Grant Program may be reviewed upon request.
