LANSING, Mich. – FEMA can give eligible survivors of the Aug. 24-26, 2023 severe storms, tornadoes and flooding up to $300 toward their cleaning expenses. Both homeowners and renters may be eligible for Clean and Sanitize assistance, even if they’ve already scrubbed, mopped, and bleached away the storm.

The Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is now accepting applications for the 2024 Facade Grant! This is open to all businesses located within the DDA district. You may obtain an application here, or send an email to pcolestock@cityofeatonrapids.gov and one will be emailed to you. We have almost $30,000 in grants to award this year so if you have any exterior facade improvements to make to your building, please apply today!

The Eaton Rapids Board of Review will be held at City Hall, 200 S Main St, on the following dates.
Tuesday, March 5, at 2:00 p.m. Organizational Meeting
Monday March 11, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for Appeals
Wednesday March 13, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for Appeals

By board resolution, residents can protest by letter, provided protest letter is received prior to March 11. Post marks are not accepted.

FEMA to open Disaster Recovery Center at LCC’s West Campus
Federal assistance available for those impacted by August storms
EATON COUNTY, MI – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is set to establish a pivotal resource for residents affected by the August 24-26, 2023, storms by establishing a Disaster Recovery Center at Lansing Community College’s West Campus.
Eaton County residents grappling with uninsured or underinsured property damage stemming from the August storms can find crucial assistance at the center. Federal assistance may include temporary lodging, basic home repairs, and other disaster-related expenses.
The center will be open on the following dates at this location:
Opening 8 a.m., Monday, February 26, at:
Lansing Community College – West Campus

Lansing, MI 48917
Hours: 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday to Saturday, closed Sundays
Closing permanently 6:30 p.m., Saturday, March 2.
Transportation Assistance: If you require transportation to reach LCC West, EATRAN is offering free transportation services to all individuals seeking assistance, ensuring accessibility to the Disaster Recovery Center. Rides need to be scheduled by contacting EATRAN at 517-543-4087. Press option 2 for scheduling to arrange a ride.
