will hold a special meeting of the City of Eaton Rapids Planning Commission on Monday, August 18, 2025  at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall, 200 S. Main Street, Eaton Rapids, Michigan. 

The City of Eaton Rapids will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as hand signers for the hearing impaired, audio tapes of printed materials being considered at the meeting, to individuals with disabilities at the meeting (and/or hearing) upon two weeks notice to the City of Eaton Rapids. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ADOPTION OF A BROWNFIELD PLAN FOR THE CITY OF EATON RAPIDS PURSUANT TO AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH ACT 381 OF THE PUBLIC ACTS OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN OF 1996, AS AMENDED 

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a Public Hearing will be held before the City Council of the City of Eaton Rapids on Monday, July 28, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall, 200 South Main Street, Eaton Rapids, Michigan, on the proposed adoption of a Brownfield Plan for the 400 Dexter Road, Eaton Rapids, parcel number 300-033-200-226-01. 

The Brownfield Redevelopment Authority will exercise its powers pursuant to and in accordance with the provisions of the Brownfield Redevelopment Financing Act, being Act 381 of the Public Acts of 1996, as amended.

 The proposed Brownfield Plan would allow Century Construction to be reimbursed for eligible costs incurred to prepare the property for redevelopment. Eligible costs may include environmental activities and/or site preparation work. The Brownfield Plan must be approved by the Eaton Rapids City Council prior to implementation. 

A copy of the proposed Brownfield Plan, including maps and supporting documentation, is available for public inspection at Eaton Rapids City Hall, 200 South Main Street, during regular business hours. 

All aspects of the proposed Brownfield Plan will be open for public discussion at the hearing.
