2025 BOARD OF REVIEW MEETING SCHEDULE 

The Eaton Rapids Board of Review will be held at City Hall, 200 S Main St, on the following dates. 

Tuesday, March 4, at 2:00 p.m. Organizational Meeting 
Monday March 10, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for Appeals 
Wednesday March 12, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for Appeals 

To schedule a Board of Review appointment and receive a petition, please email randy@taxassessing.com or call 517-541-1555. 

By board resolution, residents can protest by letter, provided protest letter is received prior to March 10. Post marks are not accepted. 

The tentative ratios and the estimated multipliers for each class Of real property and personal property are as follows 

  • Commercial – 47.96% 
  • Residential – 47.37% 
  • Industrial – 46.39% 
  • Personal Property – 50.00% 
  • Utility – 50.00% 

The City will provide necessary reasonable services to individuals with disabilities at the Board of Review meetings upon 7 days notice.

The City of Eaton Rapids City Council and Council of Governments 

Council of Governments on January 16, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. is Canceled.

The City of Eaton Rapids will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as hand signers for the hearing impaired, audio tapes of printed materials being considered at the meeting, to individuals with disabilities at the meeting (and/or hearing) upon two weeks notice to the City of Eaton Rapids. Notice of Board of Review Meeting

December 2, 2024 By City of Eaton Rapids

Date of Meeting: December 10, 2024

Time: 2:00pm

Location: Eaton Rapids City Hall, 200 S Main St., 2nd Floor

Purpose: This meeting allows the board of review to act on very specific items relating to the assessment roll;

The Correction of qualified errors.

The board may review a denial by the assessor of a qualified agricultural property exemption for the current year if the exemption was not in existence for the previous year.

The board may also grant a qualified agricultural exemption if there has not been a previous denial.

The board may also make limited changes in regards to the uncapping of a taxable.

The board may also hear an appeal for a Poverty Exemption.

The previous list is a summary of changes the board is allowed to make. For a more detailed explanation see Michigan State Tax Commission Bulletin #6 of 2018.
